Does anybody know Magic Johnson's stance on analytics? Has he talked about it in his recent press tour?

I'm curious how he feels about them, is he a believer or a Charles Barkley when it comes to analytics? I tried searching online but couldn't find anything that he's said, but I did find that he invested in a player tracking/wearable tech start up with David Stern last fall. I haven't kept up with all of his interviews in the recent press tour, has he mentioned analytics at all?

This front office (and previous coaching staff) has been anti to lukewarm on analytics. We were ranked 29th out of the 30 NBA teams in terms of analytics investment and use in 2015. It wasn't until after that article we even announced who ran our analytics department.

Analytics departments are the kind of front office costs not regulated by the salary cap where we have a clear resource advantage, the forbes report of franchise value and profit just showed the Lakers made $119mil last year. I'm not someone who drinks the analytics koolaid by any means, but I think it's got a place in the front office and I'd like to see the Lakers put some real effort and resources into it.
