Anyone else think Tarik has potential higher than just a bench/rotation player?
I think he could be a starter for us for the next 2-3 years, until Zubac becomes the goat. I mean he's really mobile and strong as an ox. He weighs about as much as DMC so he can bang with pretty much anyone in the low post. I suppose bigs with post moves could shoot over him, but I don't really see many bigs with the hook post moves necessary to shoot over him these days, those skills have been left by the wayside in favor of the 3 point shot. He's mobile enough to extend out to 3 point shooters like KAT and Porzingod. He's an effort machine. And to top it all off he's only 25, I think we lose sight of that because of the relative youth of our team. I know this is easy to say after he just started for the first time this season, but my point is this isn't just a temporary bandage until we find something better, he could legit be our starter for the next few years, then seamlessly slide to the bench once Zubac is developed.
Edit: Also forgot to mention he's a really smart dude
