All I feel is pain
I became a Lakers fan in summer 1999 after we lost to the Spurs. I was there for the comeback in game 7 against the Blazers. I was there for Kobe burying the Pacers for a championship with a sprained ankle. I was there for the amazing 15-1 championship run. I was there for the game 7 in 2002 when Kobe got called for a bullshit away from the ball foul at the end of regulation, and we still won. I was there for the heartbreaking losses in 2004 and 2008. I was there for Kobe killing the Magic in 2009, and Fisher's amazing shots in game 4. I was there for the epic game 7 win for Kobe's 5th championship. That was the 5th championship I have been able to witness as a fan. However, these past 6-7 years have been filled with so much pain. We had the greatest championship run in modern American professional sports. We won 5 championships in 10 years. The Spurs won 5 in 15 years. The Patriots won 5 in 15 years. Our current prospects don't look that promising, and the roster looks like one of the biggest dumpster fires in the league. I am starting to lose hope. None of our prospects looks like foundational pieces. The Mosgov and Deng contracts are disgraceful. Give me hope because all I feel right now is pain.
