It's pretty clear that Nick Young finally got his shit together this season and is actually trying on all fronts now. There's something very charming about this Swaggy P character. Nick seems like one of those goofy guys who had the brains but never applied himself in class; nevertheless he got along with all the teachers and was popular among his peers. He surprises you every single time he gets serious, and you begin to wonder if he was the most inherently capable person all along.

You sigh to yourself when you see guys like that, because wasted potential is never satisfying. What if this guy kept up an iron work ethic? What if he was even more team oriented and willing to shine quietly? What if this dude approached his personal life more responsibly and valued things differently?

If there’s anything I learned through 20 years of my life, it’s that despite everything, it’s always easy to root for a guy who smiles and laughs as often as Nick does. As you probably know by now, I’m not running for president in 2020, but I am a Swaggy P fan.
