We need to trade Lou and Swaggy P

Now that half the season is over, it's unlikely we will make the playoffs. Both Swaggy and Lou are great players that contenders would die to have.

There are 3 teams who are currently in a top 8 seed in either conference that rank in the bottom 3rd in the league in offense.

21. Sacramento

22. New Orleans

23. Chicago (currently 8th seed in the East)

24. Detroit

25. Orlando

26. Memphis (current 6th seed in the West)

27. Philadelphia

28. Utah (current 5th seed in the West)

29. Miami

30. Dallas

The ones highlighted in bold are current playoff teams

The ones italicized are currently not in a playoff seed but are fighting/close to the 8th seed in their respective conference.

Team SG depth SF depth
Sacramento Arron Afflalo, Ben McLemore, Malachi Richardson Rudy Gay, Matt Barnes, Omri Casspi
New Orleans E'Twaun Moore, Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans Solomon Hill, Dante Cunningham, Quincy Pondexter
Chicago Dwyane Wade, Denzel Valentine Jimmy Butler, Doug McDermott, Paul Zipser
Detroit Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Darrun Hilliard, Michael Gbinije Marcus Morris, Stanley Johnson, Reggie Bullock
Memphis Tony ALlen, James Ennis, Troy Daniels, Andrew Harrison Chandler Parsons, Vince Carter, Troy Williams
Utah Gordon Hayward, Rodney Hood, Alec Burks Joe Johnson, Joe Ingles

Both Swaggy and Lou I feel can fetch a mid-first round pick.

It's too early to determine whether or not D'angelo and/or Ingram will live up to their potential but Mitch RARELY misses on a first round pick. And I'd wager he probably hits on his 2nd round picks more than any other team. Here's a list of our recent 1st rounders

First Round picks since Mitch took over

Year Pick Player
2016 2 Ingram
2015 2 D'Angelo Russell
2015 27 Larry Nance, Jr.
2014 7 Julius Randle
2009 29 Toney Douglas(traded)
2007 19 Javaris Crittenton
2006 26 Jordan Farmar
2005 10 Andrew Bynum
2004 27 Sasha Vujacic
2003 24 Brian Cook

So we haven't gotten many first round picks in general, but every pick we've had had at least moderate success and was a key piece to some of our teams. The one bust you could argue is Javaris Crittenton but you all know how that worked out for us.
