Recently a new revolution has taken our hearts. A 19 year old Croatian 7 foot Center who has loved the team he plays on since he was kid in Mostar. A guy with an exceptional hook shot, solid range and great character;

However, I feel like the brand new commodity is unknown outside of Laker fans, especially on /r/nba. We need to start promoting this guy as a future star and preserve all he's accomplished in his career so far. Last year on /r/nba, redditor eg1400 started nitpicking stats on the Nuggets franchise player Nikola Jokic which showed several advanced stats that were "historic" He spammed it on every thread and annoyed the shit out of everybody. Almost nobody thought they were legitimate at first, but this season Jokic has proved to be one of the best rising stars in the league. So why not try the same thing with Zubac?

The idea of this was invented by /u/subtle_penguin on this thread and here are some stats so far*:

• Since the NBA-ABA Merger in 1976, Zubac is only the 4th Center, age 19 or younger to record a double double multiple times in their first 15 games as pro. The other three? Karl Anthony Towns, Dwight Howard and Andrew Bynum.

• Zubac is 24th all time in Total Rebounds per 100 posessions (14.2) for international players in their rookie seasons, ahead of guys like Marc & Pau Gasol, Dirk and Joel Embiid.

• Zubac is the only the 2nd International Center under 19 years old in NBA HISTORY to have a free throw percentage of .780 or higher in their rookie season.

• Zubac is the only international rookie center of all time who is Top 10 in BLK%, ORB% and TRB% of their draft class.

• Zubac is only the 3rd center of all time since the shot clock era to shoot 50% or higher from 10+ feet and 60% from 15+ feet in their first 15 games of their career. The other 2 are Arvydas Sabonis and Dirk.

• Out of rookies this year with at least 150 minutes played, Zubac is third in PER (14.7) only behind Joel Embiid (23.9) and Willie Hernangomez (17.3)

• In the U-19 World Basketball Championships in Greece (2015) Zubac led the 2nd place finishing Croatian Team. In the tournament he finished in Top 5 in PTS (123) , PPG (17.9), FG% (72.4%), RPG (7.9), BLKPG (1.9) and AP40M (8.9) all while ONLY averaging 26.6 minutes per game, which was just 25th in the competition.
