Hey guys, Lakers fan here that just got back into the NBA recently
So the first time I started watching basketball (well NBA) was around 2005-2006. Ever since then I've watching it on and off. The first team I got behind (and I'm still behind to this day) is the Lakers because of the legend himself, Kobe Bryant. He was just incredibly to watch and to me he is the greatest of all time. Not because he was actually the best player in terms of skill (I think Michael Jordan would take that title) but because I have a ton of respect towards players that stick with the same team throughout their entire career and never give up on their squad. I've respected Kobe ever since I learned that he was never on a team before the Lakers. Everything the guy achieved, he achieved it with the same team.
So now that I've got that story out of the way, usually I am unable to watch NBA regularly because there's quite frankly too many matches for me and I am constantly busy with other things. However I still watch the occasional game or two whenever I can. However I haven't done that in a while. But I recently decided to get back into basketball.
Can anyone explain to me what the current situation of our team is? From what I know we pretty much suck at the moment and our coach Luke Walton is still trying to get this squad together and help them develop because our players are quite young. After Kobe retired we're in pretty much a rebuilding phase. But can anyone delve into that further and give me more details on what the situation of the Lakers is atm? Who on our team is good? Who isn't? What are our strengths and weaknesses? And all of that stuff. I'd greatly appreciate it!
