What to think of D'Angelo's sophomore season so far?
Now that he's been out awhile because of injury, I think we have a timepoint to evaluate how he's doing, like before and after sitting out.
So as title states, what do we think of D'Angelo so far this season?
| GP | Pts | Rb | Asts | FG% | 3FG% | FT% | eFG% | PER |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 13 | 16.1 | 3.4 | 4.8 | 41.3 | 37.2 | 76.3 | 50.3 | 17.3 |
I think he's doing well stepping up as a leader, being a sponge and soaking up Luke's offensive system, and it's clear to me we're better with him running the offense and we miss him these past few games.
I see him bumping his scoring average up to 18-20 ppg, keep a stable 5 assists per game, and with that he'll bring the FG% up. I'm really impressed with the 37% from three, a little dismayed by the free throw percentage though. He's for sure on the right track and I feel confident in his growth.
I guess with all these other rising stars on young teams like Giannis, Towns and Wiggins, Embiid, Kristaps, Booker, Simmons, the upcoming Jazz squad, the new kid about to be drafted soon Fultz, Josh Jackson...I just want D'Angelo's light to burn brighter than theirs. I want him to just shit on all the other competition like Kobe did for two decades.
