Is it possible that Byron's "Man Up" strategy resulted in less injuries?

I find it strange that we had very few major injuries for the past 2 years under Byron (besides Kobe which was just due to age). But under Luke nearly half of our roster is already injured.
Is it possible that Byron with his harsh practice schedules actually succeeded in making the players tough enough to resist injury??
Or perhaps Byron's trash offensive scheme with no motion or movement kept players safe?
